The engine counts
Checks, attacks, damage, conditions, charges and rests are computed by code before anything is narrated. A model never sets a number.
Quest plays by the open fifth-edition rules — SRD 5.2.1. The engine counts every number; the narrator only tells the story.
Checks, attacks, damage, conditions, charges and rests are computed by code before anything is narrated. A model never sets a number.
Each session has its own seed. You see its fingerprint at the start and the seed itself at the end — anyone can recompute every roll.
Each modifier has a reason: an ability, proficiency, expertise, armor, a feature. The sheet and the rolls show them.
A campaign keeps the rules version it started with: an engine update never changes a game in progress.
